Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easyer than climbing the tree with a with an 023c I have owned this polesaw for about half a year and it stihl works great. This pole saw has held is edge one several hundred cut on several tree types spruce , ash and from branch sizes from up to about 9 inches down to branches around 1/8 inch. The 1/4 chain has worked great for this pole saw , shaping the chain with an Oregon chain grinder will be my next step.I have used this saw to drop about a dozen small dead oak an ash trees and it keeps on going. After working and fixing stihl machines just under 2 decades has helped out a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this pole saw within the last month and have used it several times both at home and on my farm and have been extremely happy with how easy it is to use and how well it does the job. The hardest part of using it is picking up everything you cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from well engineered product This pruner is a beast. I brought it home and immediately began trimming limbs up to 6" in diameter with no hesitation. It was easy to extend and even at full extension performed exactly as I had hoped. Balance is good and controls are located so as to be safe and easy to use. I held off a long time purchasing this saw as it seemed expensive to me, however, it was worth the money and I don't mind paying the price when I get the quality. I have a Stihl line trimmer and chain saw and would not own any other brand of equipment. I have had other brands in the past which have all been disappointing and ended up being disposable when it came to any repairs. I have six acres of property, all lined by woods and over-hanging trees. This pruner earns it's keep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, wish I had bought it several years ago! We own about 1 1/2 acres. Lots of trees that need trimming. I am 85 and appreciate the balance and handling ease. Also, the ease of starting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use, gets the job done. This product is the perfect size for use around my yard which has trees along the back of my property. Light enough for me to handle safely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I bought the HT 103 to cut branches on 15 acre farm which has many low hanging limbs on the field edges that hit you in the face while running a bush-hog with the tractor. I'm very experienced with chainsaws and cut professionally for a period of time. This is my first season with the saw and thus far I am ecstatic with the performance. Being able to extend the reach and function has been superb.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the HT101 I was very happy with my HT101. The HT 103 in not a comparable saw. It is light weight but the saw attachment is very cheap. It is all plastic and will not stand the test of time. When you extend the pole the head vibrates for about 10 seconds before it smooths out. The hook that is used for pulling branches is virtually useless. The chain is very small and cannot power through larger limbs(over 4 inches). I purchased a larger bar and chain but am waiting on the new sprocket. I hope this upgrade will allow it to cut larger branches. All of my blowers, trimmers and chainsaws are Stihl however unless they improve this saw I would look elsewhere before buying another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Minor issue. Still love it! Bought the 103 at 9 o’clock this morning, the dealer started it and made it work ready before I went out the door. After the 3 rd cut at full extension, the chain stopped spinning and wasn’t bound up. I retracted it all the way and it worked again. After a few more tries at full extension, I called the dealer and he had me bring it back to check it. Turns out, the motor was not fully seated into the shaft. 10 minutes later, out the door and back to cutting! Dealer said it’s a semi-common issue.
